Have your say about teachers’ rules in Tasmania

The Department for Education, Children and Young People, with support from team members at the Commissioner for Children and Young People, are running a workshop for young people aged 12–18 to help review the rules for teachers in Tasmania.

In the workshop, you’ll be asked to talk about what you think is important for teachers to know and do – especially when it comes to keeping young people safe, supported, and respected at school and other learning places.

You don’t need any special knowledge. We’ll explain everything, ask for your opinions, and listen to your ideas. You can share what you like, what you don’t like, and what you think could be better. We won’t ask you to talk about personal experiences.

Why join?

  • Have a real say in shaping rules that affect teachers and schools
  • Receive a certificate for your contribution
  • Get a $40 gift voucher as a thank you
