The Commissioner for Children and Young People Leanne McLean today extended the closing date for submissions to her investigation into changes to the allocation of Child Safety Officers for children and young people in Tasmania’s Out-of-Home Care system.
“This is due to the strong interest being expressed into this investigation,” Ms McLean said.
“The new closing date for submissions will be 5pm, March 24, 2023.”
Ms McLean said the investigation is looking into the new case management approach, which has changed the allocation of Child Safety Officers for children and young people in care in Tasmania.
“I welcome public submissions from those with experience of the model to understand it better, and how it aligns with the rights of children.”
