YEP! member registration draw

Terms and conditions

  1. The Promoter of the draw is the Commissioner for Children and Young People (Tasmania) (“CCYP”).
  2. Information on how to enter and eligibility to be entered into the draw and prize details form part of the conditions.
  3. The competition opens at 12:01am AEDT on 9 May 2023 and closes at 11:59pm AEST 9 June 2023 (“Campaign Period”)with a total of 1 individual winner being drawn after the Campaign Period.
  4. Eligibility for inclusion in this competition is open to (i) children and young people under the age of 18; (ii) residing in Tasmania; and who (iii) have successfully registered for CCYP’s YEP program by the conclusion the Campaign Period outlined above, unless the registration form is posted by mail, in which case the registration form must be received by CCYP no later than 11:59pm AEST 9 June 2023 to be eligible. Registration forms for the YEP Program can be found at CCYP YEP! Application Form – CCYP (childcomm.tas.gov.au) and may be submitted online, by email to childcomm@childcomm.tas.gov.au or by post to CCYP, GPO Box 708, Hobart, Tasmania, 7000.
  5. All people deemed eligible under Section 4 will automatically go into a draw (one entry per member), as per the conditions below, with the following exceptions who are ineligible to enter:
    1. any immediate family members of the Promoter; or
    2. immediate family members of CCYP employees.
  6. The prize pool consists of one $650 iPad (total value $650).
  7. The competition winner will be drawn on 12 June 2023, selected at random from eligible entries made by the conclusion the competition period (see Clause 4 above).
  8. The prize winner will be notified by phone or email.
  9. Details as to the collection of the prize will be provided at the time the prize winner is notified.
  10. Should the prize winner decide to accept the prize, their parent or guardian must provide official proof of the prize winner’s eligibility (including the prize winner’s identity, age and place of residence) acceptable to the Promoter.
  11. Should the prize winner decide to accept the prize, their parent or guardian must, unless otherwise agreed for child safety purposes, agree to the prize winner participating in all promotional activity (such as publicity) surrounding the winning of the prize, free of charge, and consent to the Promoter using their name in promotional material (which may include publication in the CCYP’s YEP newsletter, on the CCYP website and social media pages.
  12. In the event of the prize being refused, not accepted, not claimed or the prize winner deemed ineligible by 17 June 2023, the draw will be declared null and void and a further draw will be arranged.
  13. The prize or any unused portion of the prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or taken as cash.
  14. The Promoter’s decision is final with respect to all matters relating to the competition and no correspondence will be entered into with respect to those decisions.
